Texas Proud
One thing outsiders can attest to is that people who live in Texas are Texas Proud. If you live in Texas but were not born her, you would say “I got here as quick as I could.” Everything is bigger in Texas – another one of my favorites. Did you know that the entire world population could fit in the State of Texas with a typical population density as that of New Orleans, LA? Any barbecue you consumed outside Texas was not Texas barbecue! Even if the restaurant had “Texas” or some Texas city in its name. Actually especially then. If you plan on visiting Texas don’t think you can visit Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas all in one weekend. Matter of fact, if you took off driving, it would take you better of two days just to drive and touch all 4 cities – round trip would be almost 900 miles. Houston to El Paso is almost 800 miles.
